If being close to the sea is one of the first things you look for when choosing a hotel, not every Sensatori offers the same experience.
Some Sensatori hotels sit directly beside the beach, others are a short walk away, while Aphrodite Hills is much more about its pools, golf, spa and resort setting.
If you want to compare the whole collection first, start with our Sensatori hotels guide. It lists all eight current resorts and helps you choose the right one for your holiday.
Quick answer, which Sensatori hotels are closest to the beach?
TUI BLUE Sensatori Coral Sea, Akra Sorgun, Atlantica Dreams Rhodes, Akra Fethiye and The Residence at Akra Fethiye are the strongest choices if you want a Sensatori hotel directly beside the sea.
Caldera Palace also has very easy beach access in Crete, while TUI BLUE Sensatori Biomar is around a 15-minute walk from Sa Coma Beach. Aphrodite Hills is the least beach-focused resort in the collection, although the nearest beach is only a short drive away.

What does beachfront actually mean?
Hotel descriptions can make almost anywhere sound close to the sea, so it helps to know what you are actually booking.
For this guide, we have split the Sensatori hotels into four simple groups.
- Beachfront: the hotel sits directly beside the beach
- Very close to the beach: reaching the sand is easy, but there may be a road or small separation between the hotel and shoreline
- Short walk: you can comfortably reach the beach on foot without transport
- Not beach-first: the resort is better chosen for its pools, spa, golf, dining or overall setting
That distinction matters. If you picture walking from your sunlounger to the sea several times a day, a true beachfront resort will probably suit you better than a hotel where the beach is a 15-minute walk away.

TUI BLUE Sensatori Coral Sea, Egypt
Beach access: beachfront
TUI BLUE Sensatori Coral Sea sits beside the Red Sea in Sharm El Sheikh, making this one of the most sea-focused hotels in the collection.
The coastline here is about more than lying on the sand. Coral reefs and marine life make snorkelling a major part of the experience, while access to deeper water can involve using a jetty to help protect the reef.
Best for: winter sun, snorkelling, Red Sea views and travellers who want the sea to be a major part of the holiday.
Choose Coral Sea if: you are deciding between Sensatori hotels primarily on sunshine, warm weather and easy access to the Red Sea.

TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra Sorgun, Turkey
Beach access: beachfront
Akra Sorgun sits directly beside a long stretch of Antalya coastline, with golden sand and areas of shingle.
Its setting is particularly appealing because the Mediterranean sits on one side of the resort and Sorgun Forest on the other. That gives the hotel a greener, calmer feel than many large beachfront resorts.
You can easily split the day between the pools and sea without planning a separate beach trip.
Best for: beach days, couples and families, excellent all-inclusive dining and a greener setting.
Choose Akra Sorgun if: you want a proper beachfront Sensatori but still value quieter surroundings and easy access to historic Side.

TUI BLUE Sensatori Atlantica Dreams, Rhodes
Beach access: beachfront
Atlantica Dreams sits beside a beach in Gennadi on the quieter south-east coast of Rhodes.
The shoreline is a mixture of sand and pebbles, with clear Aegean water immediately in front of the resort. This makes it one of the strongest beach choices in the Sensatori collection.
The location also suits travellers who prefer a more relaxed part of Rhodes rather than staying close to the island’s busiest resorts.
Best for: Greek island beach holidays, couples, families and travellers who want the sea right beside the hotel.
Choose Atlantica Dreams if: you want a beachfront Greek Sensatori with pools, dining and family facilities all within the same resort.

TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra Fethiye, Turkey
Beach access: beachfront
Akra Fethiye sits directly beside a sand-and-shingle beach on Turkey’s Dalaman coast.
The difference here is the amount of choice away from the beach. There are five pools, plenty of activities and separate family and adult areas, so you do not need to choose between a beachfront holiday and a resort with lots going on.
Fethiye and the surrounding coastline also open up plenty of opportunities for boat trips and days exploring the wider area.
Best for: families, active travellers, swim-up rooms and people who want beach time without spending every day on the sand.
Choose Akra Fethiye if: you want a beachfront Sensatori with one of the broadest ranges of facilities in the collection.

The Residence at TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra Fethiye, Turkey
Beach access: beachfront
The Residence is the adults-only Sensatori option beside Akra Fethiye, and its beach credentials are stronger than you might expect.
The hotel sits on the seafront with its own 130-metre sand-and-pebble beach, complete with sunloungers, parasols and a pier.
Its atmosphere is much quieter than the main Akra Fethiye resort. Add swim-up rooms, Lake House Suites, spa facilities and premium dining, and this becomes one of the strongest options for couples who want the beach without the family-resort atmosphere.
Best for: adults-only holidays, couples, honeymoons, swim-up suites and a more peaceful beachfront experience.
Choose The Residence if: you want a Sensatori beside the sea but your version of a beach holiday involves quiet pools, long lunches and plenty of space.

TUI BLUE Sensatori Atlantica Caldera Palace, Crete
Beach access: very close to the beach
Atlantica Caldera Palace gives you very easy access to the Cretan coast, with the beach immediately beside the resort area.
The shoreline has sand and pebbled sections, making it straightforward to spend part of the day beside the sea before heading back to the hotel pools.
Caldera Palace is particularly useful if you want a holiday where food, pools and the wider resort experience matter just as much as being near the water.
Best for: couples and families who want Crete, easy beach access and a strong all-inclusive resort experience.
Choose Caldera Palace if: you want the flexibility to move easily between pool and beach rather than making the beach the only focus of the holiday.

TUI BLUE Sensatori Biomar, Majorca
Beach access: around a 15-minute walk
Biomar is not beachfront, but Sa Coma’s broad sandy beach is around a 15-minute stroll from the hotel.
For many guests, that is actually a good compromise. You get the extensive pools, spa, adults-only and family areas of a large Sensatori resort, while still being able to walk to a proper Majorcan beach without needing a taxi or hire car.
Sa Coma also has a promenade and plenty around it, so heading to the beach can become part of a day outside the hotel rather than simply moving between a resort pool and the sea.
Best for: spa time, families and couples, swim-up rooms and travellers who want both a resort and a beach nearby.
Choose Biomar if: you do not need to step directly onto the sand but still want an easy beach holiday in Majorca.
Read our full TUI BLUE Sensatori Biomar guide.

TUI BLUE Sensatori Atlantica Aphrodite Hills, Cyprus
Beach access: short drive
Aphrodite Hills is the Sensatori to choose when being directly beside the beach is not important.
The nearest beach is only a short drive away, but the hotel’s appeal lies much more in its wider resort setting. Golf, spa time, pools, dining and views are bigger parts of the experience here.
That also makes Aphrodite Hills quite different from Coral Sea, Rhodes or the Turkish beachfront resorts.
Best for: wellness, golf, couples and families who care more about the complete resort than having the sea outside their room.
Choose Aphrodite Hills if: the beach is something you would like to visit occasionally rather than somewhere you expect to spend every day.

Which Sensatori has the best beach?
There is no single best Sensatori beach because the right answer depends on what you want from it.
For snorkelling and winter sun
TUI BLUE Sensatori Coral Sea is our first choice. You have the Red Sea, coral reefs and stronger winter-sun potential than the Mediterranean resorts.
For a beach with greener surroundings
Choose Akra Sorgun. The combination of Mediterranean coastline and Sorgun Forest gives it one of the most attractive overall settings.
For a Greek island beach holiday
Atlantica Dreams Rhodes is the standout. You stay right beside the sea without giving up the pools and facilities of a full Sensatori resort.
For families who want beach plus lots to do
Choose Akra Fethiye. The beachfront location is only one part of a much bigger resort experience.
For adults only
The Residence at Akra Fethiye is the easy answer. It is the collection’s completely adults-only hotel and has its own beachfront.
If you do not need beachfront
Biomar works particularly well if a 15-minute walk to Sa Coma Beach does not bother you.
If the beach barely matters
Choose Aphrodite Hills for the resort, golf, wellness and Cyprus setting rather than its proximity to the sand.

The easiest way to choose your Sensatori beach hotel
Start by asking yourself one question:
How important is stepping straight from the resort onto the beach?
If the answer is very important, start with:
- Coral Sea
- Akra Sorgun
- Atlantica Dreams Rhodes
- Akra Fethiye
- The Residence at Akra Fethiye
If you are happy with easy access rather than true beachfront, consider:
- Atlantica Caldera Palace
- TUI BLUE Sensatori Biomar
If the beach is only an occasional part of the holiday, look at:
- Atlantica Aphrodite Hills
Then compare the other things that matter to you, such as adults-only areas, family facilities, food, swim-up rooms, spa facilities and weather.
Our Sensatori hotels comparison puts all eight resorts together in one place.
